With just over a month to go until Christmas, I am hoping to start taking submissions for my annual Christmas card competition.
The card can be on anything Christmas themed, but after the difficult year we have had in Plymouth I would like to focus on hope and happiness.
The winning card will be sent out electronically to save on paper, but there will be a limited supply of physical cards printed, with one featured in my constituency office window in Frankfort Gate.
Christmas means so much to families in Plymouth, and with COVID case rates rising, many of us will still be worried about whether we will be able to see friends and family safely this year.
This competition is a way to say thank you to the children who have continued learning and coped fantastically with the pandemic, to show Plymouth that we are all together in this, but also to think about our hopes for the new year and what brings us happiness.
There will be prizes for first, second and third places. I would love it if you could share this with the children at your primary schools and encourage them to get involved if they are interested in taking part.
We have had some fantastic submissions in previous years, and I am looking forward to seeing what this year has to offer!
