The Year 2 team wish all our brilliant children, parents and families a very Happy Christmas. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ˜€

The perfect end of term. Sharing our learning with our lovely families.

What a busy week! Year 2 loved their Christmas dinner.

Visiting the theatre to see the Gingerbread man.

Computing- We have been learning about online safety. Playing cyber snakes and ladders to helps us to apply what we have learnt.

It's Christmas jumper day. Year 2 look amazing!

RE- After finding about the Italian tradition of Bambinelli Sunday we made our own Christmas cribs.

Thank you for coming to see our Christmas play. We really enjoyed entertaining you.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. ๐ŸŽ„โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Advent- we are busy preparing for Christmas.


History in action- investigating modern toys, timelines and Victorian toys (artefacts).

RE- Father Petroc came to answer our questions about Sacraments.

RE- Sacraments. Sharing a meal as a class community.

Pudsey, spots and stripes for Children in Need. Don't we look fabulous!

Science- using our knowledge of materials we constructed kites. Now we need a dry windy day so we can test them.

Science- selecting suitable materials to make our kites.

Red Watch from Camels Head Fire Station came to talk to us about what to do if there is a fire. Look out for the leaflet your child will bring home.


Science- investigating materials. Is it flexible? Does it return to the original shape? Is it rigid?

A Year Two tradition- we made this loaf for our Harvest Mass.

Thank you to all of our wonderful parents and grandparents who came to see our learning. Showing off our puppets, eating buns and sharing a story. What a great way to support the Macmillan coffee morning event.

Geography in action- Toothless has flown away from Year 2. We had to solved the clues and walked around Keyham trying to find him.Where could he be?
